Create a Related Service Request

Use the Create a Related Request icon to create a service request in Office for AMS.

NOTE: When you create a case from a service request, the comments, address, and X and Y coordinates on the service request are copied to the case.

PREREQUISITES:

  1. From the Main panel, click Create a Related Request.

TIP: For a quick start guide on this subject, see Create a Work Activity from a PLL Case on MyCityworks.

The Problem Tree and Problem Keywords tabs display along with the Incident Information and Caller Information tabs and the Call History panel in Office for AMS. For more information, see Create a Service Request in the Office/Tablet 15.4 for AMS Guide.

  1. Once a service request has been created, scroll to the Permit panel.
  1. Click the Id of the case to return to the case.

The service request ID, description, status, and link type will appear at the bottom of the Main panel of the case. The Link Type in the lower-right identifies the linked case as a Parent or Child link type for PLL cases and Related for service requests, work orders, and inspections.

NOTE: Inspections can only be created from or linked to PLL cases in Respond. If an inspection has been linked to a case using Respond, that inspection is shown in the list of related work activities on the Main panel.

NOTE: If the service request information doesn't appear, you can use the Show related objects: Cases, Workorders, Requests icon. For more information, see View Related Objects.
