Format Comments

You can format comments added to PLL cases from Task Manager, Corrections, the Main panel, and directly to a task in the workflow. The user interface may be different, but the steps are the same.

Complete one of the following ways to format comments.

NOTE: If there is content before the text you want to format, a space must appear before the special character that precedes the formatted text. A space is not needed between any punctuation and the special character.

ClosedBefore Entering Text
  1. Click the formatting drop-down list to select italics, underline, strikethrough, superscript, or subscript, or click bold to select bold.

Sample text will appear in the Comments field, and the special character associated with that format will appear before and after the sample text.

  1. Begin typing a sentence. The sample text will be replaced with your text, but the special characters will stay to show that the text has been formatted. These characters will not show when the comment has been saved.
ClosedAfter Entering Text
  1. Enter text.
  2. Highlight the text.
  3. Click the formatting drop-down list to select italics, underline, strikethrough, superscript, or subscript, or click the bold icon to select bold.

ClosedWhile Writing
  1. Enter the correct special character. See Special Characters for a list of options.
  2. Enter the comment.
  3. Enter the correct special character at the end.
